Bickford Ranch is an approximately 2,000-acre master planned community in Placer County. An estimated 1,890 homes are slated for construction in the community over the next 15 to 20 years, along with a park, public and private facilities, a school, and open space.
The first phase of construction at Bickford Ranch is scheduled to begin in summer 2021. This phase will include grading for single-family residential homes, as well as off-site improvements for sewer and water, and improvements to the intersection of Sierra College Blvd. and the future Bickford Ranch Rd.
During construction, temporary traffic controls and detours may be in place, but will be clearly identified with signage in the area. The initial project construction phase may also include temporary traffic controls along portions of Sierra College Blvd. and Highway 193, related to road improvements and the off-site sewer installation.
The Caperton Canal, which provides water for Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) customers, passes through the adjacent Bickford Ranch project area. Sections of the canal will be encased within a pipe to protect water quality for customers as a part of the Bickford Ranch project development. Project engineers and PCWA are working together to ensure the service and quality of water from the Caperton Canal remains equal to or exceeds its existing conditions. Customers who receive water via the Caperton Canal will receive additional information directly from PCWA, including future meeting dates, and contact information to direct questions or concerns.
